Stephanie Heroux

Stephanie Heroux has toured internationally as a Dancer/Dance Captain for Royal Caribbean International, and performed locally with the The Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Lorraine Chapman The Company, and as a principal dancer for ACE Entertainment.  She studied under Matt Mattox and Chet Walker at The School at Jacob’s Pillow, and holds a B.A. from Boston University in English Literature and Business Administration and a DPT from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. In 2006, Ms. Heroux founded Jazz Inc Dance, a Boston-based production company specializing in the preservation of jazz dance through concert and commercial theatre. Clients include 28 degrees, The Boston Design Center, Saks 5th Ave., Bicardi, Pearl Vodka, The Boston Bruins, The Boston Red Sox, Isoci Salon, The Four Seasons, The Ritz, the Museum of Fine Arts, Music Management, and HGTV.  In 2011, Jazz Inc produced BLINK at the OBERON, conceived, choreographed, and directed by Ms. Heroux, and crowned one of the Top Ten Theatre Picks by The Boston Globe.  In 2014, Jazz Inc produced Escaping the Frame at the Somerville Theatre, uniquely featuring the theater’s rich history in film and stage. She teaches master classes and choreographs for dance and theatre companies across New England.  Ms. Heroux's faculty positions include The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Boston Youth Moves, Ballet Arts Center of Winchester, Green Street Studios, Emerson College, the American Repertory Theatre’s Institute for Advance Theatre Studies, and director of the Jeannette Neill Children’s Dance Program. Ms. Heroux is also a practicing physical therapist, having completed her clinical doctorate work at the MGH Institute for Health Professions, specializing in rehab and injury reduction for dancers and performing artists.
